Ava as a character is someone who prefers to be alone. All her life she's been used to fending for herself and ignoring the hardships that the world throws at her. If anyone ever offers her help or tries to pry into her life she will try her hardest to talk her way out of it and get them out of her life as soon as possible. In an attempt to keep people from approaching her in the first place she shrouds herself in a brooding nature with a tongue that's all too quick to spit out grim comedy. These layers pile up until the person she really is becomes buried underneath several layers of dishonesty. She finds herself speaking in vague terms to try and ward off further interest in her life. Her conversations often go round and round in pointless circles until the person talking to her realizes that it isn't going anywhere and leaves.
Despite her fairly cold exterior, the black-feathered girl is considerate to the people who treat her well. She will often leave gifts and subtly make the lives of people she enjoys easier, though any attempt to pin these occurrences onto her will end up falling flat and into the pointless circling dialogue. Acting like she doesn't care about people is just a ruse and she really takes into observing every facet of a person she's talking to. Her eyes going up and down the person trying their best to figure out who exactly they are both inside and out. She will often catalogue people in her diary after interacting with them as if writing them into existence into her studies.
She has dedicated herself to her work and often spends days upon weeks not leaving her room so she can focus entirely on her biology work. The government provides her with a few grants for her work but mostly it's just barely enough to get by and means she limits the food she eats, often relying on cheap noodle packs. Strictly avoiding products that have eggs in their ingredients or come from a factory that produces and distributes eggs. Due to personal reasons, she has a strong disdain for other birds and will always avoid talking with them, going as far as to flat out ignore other birds when they are directly speaking to her.
When the time comes for her to go out and shop for more groceries she will always go shopping late into the night as to avoid as many people as she possibly can. This, in turn, means she often puts herself at far more risk then she usually would but she often has the saying of, "I'd rather risk dying then risk running into someone who knows me..." So far its worked out for her so can't knock it right? Being cooped up into her room usually has her in an antsy state and moving around constantly when she's up from her desk. Her feathered hands trembling or waving up and down as she talks as if trying to fly out of the conversation. The floor of her apartment often shakes in the middle of the night as she bounces her leg furiously while she works.
Although hating people she finds herself unable to move her desk from in front of the apartment window as she finds herself comforted by the warm sunlight that peers in during the summer. She has a childish desire to see people perform magic tricks due to an experience in her youth that left her in awe of the feats of sleight of hand.

Ava is around the same height as other Silkie Chickens coming off around the smaller end of chickens as a whole though. Her down is a solid black that looks similar to bunny fur in how fluffy it is. It is one of the few things she actively maintains but even with her constant maintenance it is still a mess. The feathers hang loosely around her like an oversized blanket coat as if there wasn't enough flesh underneath it to fill it up. This makes her seem kinda lean compared to other Silkie Chickens and is partially due to her undernutrition at birth and not being properly cared for as an egg. She has a chronic shake that hurts her precise movements and often makes her stumble more than a little. The skin underneath her fur is a dark blue shade though it is often masked by the thick fluffy coat on the outside. The feathers that make a pseudo hair on the top of her head are fluffy giving her almost the shape of a poofy feather afro.
Her eyes are almost obscured from sight due to the poor maintenance of the feathers on the top of her head, not that she minds. She will often tie her head feathers back when she is working as to make it easier to see. The sockets of her eyes are underlined by wrinkles and creases across them that show she doesn't get nearly as much sleep as she should, her eyes often revealing dark red veins that need oxygen. She will often stay in her pajamas all day with very few exceptions. While she works she covers the pajamas with heavy protective lab gear that keeps chemicals from getting on her feathers. Her lab gear almost hides the fact she is a bird completely but once the hat comes off and the ball of feathers rolls out that ruse is revealed. When she is forced to go outside she will wear clothes that do their best to obscure who she is like a cloak or large coat. Underneath she will often wear a tank top (due to it being able to fit her poofy arms through the shirt holes) and a long skirt. She favors monochrome colors but if she's forced to pick something with a little brighter shade she will often fall back on wearing pink clothes.
HISTORY
She never found a friend in her schooling, no one who understood the level of betrayal she felt. The orphanage dumped her into a boarding school as soon as it could to get her out of their fur. As she arrived at the boarding school she was put into the birds' dorm and found herself in a constant argument with her roommates, so much that it culminated in her locking herself in the closet and only leaving to go to class. This level of isolation even furthered her hate of her own kind as she focused all her efforts into science in an attempt to get a scholarship to let her pursue her own passion further in the isolation of her own lab. After the four long grueling years in high school, she found herself facing down college and after a few uneventful years, she passed with a Bachelor's degree in Biology that amounted too little more than verifying her own love for the subject.
As she settled down into her cheap apartment complex she begged and pleaded for any form of grant from the government that could possibly give her the money to start studying and researching, and soon enough she got the grant. Now she stays in her poor apartment all day, with all the creaky tiles a person could wish for. Her goal is to make a complete compendium of mammals and reptiles with information on the recent changes of each species. She also has an odd wish to see the combinations of all animals hybrids.

SPECIES DESCRIPTION: Silkie Chickens are mostly known for their exquisite feathers that are nearly as soft as bunny fur. This makes them quite good at social engagements from an outside perspective due to their usually unkempt feathers as coming off cute. They lay a modest three eggs a week and lay averagely small eggs due to being smaller sizes then the average egg producing bird. Although they have wings Silkie Chickens are unable to fly, doing little more then flapping them occasionally when they jump. They are fragile and way very little making them careful about where they move and how they move. One of their only unique aspects is the fact they have five toes as opposed to the average three legged talons of other Chickens. This means they can slash a little more effectively but with their rather lacking muscles it is nothing more then a last resort defense mechanism.
