Gil sees the world in a surprisingly kind manner, which comes across in his personality. He is unlikely to dislike a person's personality right off the bat, and most insults and indignities roll right off his back. While not entirely social, he doesn't shy from interactions, and forms a bond with fellows quickly once he knows them. Surprisingly, he is rather loyal to friendship and...most of anything, really. Gil doesn't make promises he can't keep, and keeps his word on what he said he'd do.
Sometimes this causes problems, naturally. He expects the world to work like he does, and can be gullible regarding others. This naivety resembles more a young child than anything else, or a dog. Speaking of a dog, Gil acts in a simple manner more reminiscent of Carnivores of the past, and not just in his loyalty. Violence tends to come easily to him as a way to stop problems, and he finds himself at home in places of bloodshed and meat, though he is generally kind-acting and calm, and wouldn't harm those who took him in, he is never safe. If he were told to take out a school friend, or devour an enemy, he'd do it, and probably enjoy it after the initial sadness. Hunting is also a joy to him, with still meat boring him. He also doesn't see any problems in eating meat, seeing it as a matter of eating that most Herbivores don't even have to worry about, and he gets hungry.
And then that naivety rears its head again. Even with all these problems, he looks up to Beastars, and wonders if one day he could put his ideas up where eyes can see. Eating and being eaten, completely normal, maybe he could make it happen?

As the norm for a Hybrid, Gil resembles some immoral beast in appearances. A caiman's head sits upon a long body, glaringly long, as if the head is too small to belong to such a serpent's body. Until it does belong. Along with the regular teeth of a Caiman, clear fangs occupy his mouth, every odd tooth out, the fangs of a venomous snake. The forked tongue lies within as well, but most don't notice past the fangs.
His limbs resemble decorations rather than the real deal, used more for adjusting his course when slithering, and writing when necessary. While he can stand up upon these short protrusions, he prefers the simplicity of simply not bothering.
While his head and limbs are definitely taking from his father, a caiman, his body and coloration comes from his serpent mother. The long, dangerous body ends in a slender tail, graceful yet never safe. Black stripes run up his body, and his underbelly is a bright orange, anything in between being brown scales. Even here, his caiman heritage shines through with bony areas forming light armor alongside his back.
Even through this, Gil has a calm face. He wears an almost smile at all times, a gaping mouth that he has no idea bares venomous fangs to the world...or maybe he knows.
HISTORY
In this hellhole, Gil turned affable and formed an odd view of the world. He never hated those that harmed him, and hunted without true malice. He needed to eat, and so did mom, so he needed to hunt. It never even struck him to blame the society he lived in, that would let such a horrible world to exist within their "peaceful" society.
And like this he would have lived his life, had a small mafia that sprung out of the woodworks not needed some muscle. They had no real territory, and weren't strong enough to wrest control away from bigger clans. A gang of small Carnivores simply couldn't afford to fight others. So their eyes fell upon the truly terrible, the ones crawling in the dirt, and they found a young Hybrid.
The initial contact nearly ended in violence, but they found the duo more open to negotiation than expected. Things fell into place from there, and their section of the Abandoned Housing found itself the first territory of their new family.
And Gil found ease in this "family" of his. Having no father, and no siblings, he quickly warmed to them. An Ocelot man that he only heard was called "Boss"? That was dad, who gave him food and books and talked to him even though he looked the way he did. Everyone else? Brothers and sisters, none looked like him, but he didn't mind. The Hybrid grew well, his natural interest in his family facilitating his learning. If not for the fact of his appearance and living conditions, he seemed a normal teenager...a normal teenager that fought for his mafia's bare territory.
Public school came as a surprise, why the Hybrid wanted to be away from his primary food source and home, nobody knew. Yet he wanted to learn, see the outside where their food was weird and their morals even weirder. In all honesty, he had seen the outside, just a little, by the mafia's words. Beastars, who could change the world with a word. If everyone lived like he did, he thought, there would be more territory for his family, and more food for everyone! Thus, a true predator's mind entered a peaceful society.

SPECIES AND SKILLS
SPECIES FAMILY: Alligatoridae and Elapidae
SPECIES SCIENTIFIC NAME: Caiman crocodilus yacare and Notechis scutatus
SPECIES DESCRIPTION: Being the Hybrid of a Caiman and Tiger Snake, Gil gets the best of two worlds. On his Caiman side, he has great jaw strength and a surprising amount of senses. His eyes and ears are sharp, his sense of smell is huge, and he can sense vibrations and movement through his head and limbs. He can swim through the water at high speeds, and while a little clumsy on land, slithers along well enough. His back, head, and limbs have a light covering of armor, providing him some protection. Classically, he is capable of the famous "deathroll", tearing through flesh in a quick rolling movement.
On the other hand, he has the Tiger Snake side of him. Being a venomous snake, he has found himself with venom as well. Only the fangs near the front of his mouth actually have venom, his other clear fangs being duds. He also has to hang on longer, as the venom doesn't inject quickly. However, once it does happen, his venom has neurotoxins, myotoxins, cougulates, and haemolysins, effectively destroying his targets body if an antitoxin isn't given in a timely manner. He can be active both during the day and night with the Tiger Snake's body, and his senses ate increased with his forked tongue providing a way to "smell" the air. Thanks to the body of a snake, he finds it tiring to stand up,band much prefers to slither, even if he can't look at others in the eyes.
SKILL NAME: Fight for Life
SKILL TIER Layman
SKILL RANK: Greenhorn
SKILL DESCRIPTION: With a viciousness tempered by the mafia, and a reptile's cold blood, Gil is not shy to the idea of harming others. He has no real fighting style, preferring to bite with his deadly fangs and deathroll, beyond that, he's a little lost if that doesn't do the trick.
SKILL NAME: Like a Dog, but Better
SKILL TIER Layman
SKILL RANK: Greenhorn
SKILL DESCRIPTION: With a senses vastly outweighing many animals, Gil can pick up on another animal in many ways, be it vibrations, smell, or hearing. He is still working on tracking and pinpointing these though, he can really just tell there is something near him right now.
